All Eyes On You

Even bugs have a resting surprised face. A damselfly perches on violet petals with its enormous compound eyes taking up nearly its whole head, catching cool blue-grey light like tiny frosted domes. Its front legs are drawn close beneath its chin, giving the tiny insect an oddly thoughtful, almost human expression, as if caught mid-daydream on its perch.
