Duck Face

Somewhere on the ocean floor, a blobfish has perfected the selfie pout. This extreme close-up portrait turns a blobfish's naturally swollen, wrinkled face into something uncannily human — heavy-lidded eyes, a bulbous pink snout, and lips puckered into a pose that looks suspiciously like a practiced duck face. Shot tight and warmly lit, it trades the creature's usual reputation for ugliness for something oddly glamorous, even a little smug.
