Reef Runway

Some of the smallest animals in the ocean turned out to be the best dressed. A parade of nudibranchs — and one tiny leaf sheep sea slug — moves across coral heads and anemone gardens in every color a reef can produce. Frilled gills fan out like tiny ferns, horned rhinophores test the current, and polka-dot mantles glow against pink, blue, purple, and green backdrops, sometimes matching their surroundings so closely they nearly vanish. A small, unbothered fashion show at the bottom of the sea.
