Tail Betrayal

Some fights you just can't win — especially against your own tail. A red-furred tree squirrel clings to a weathered trunk, eyes squeezed shut and mouth wide open, gripping its own bushy black tail with both front paws as if wrestling an unruly opponent. Caught mid-scratch or mid-bite, the moment reads like a tiny meltdown — flailing limbs, bared teeth, and a tail that seems to have a mind of its own.
