The strangest creature in the room turns out to be upside down. Photographed from below, a red-eyed tree frog looks almost alien — four bursts of orange webbed toes gripping the corners of a pale, quilted belly, no head or eyes in sight. Turn it over, and the illusion dissolves into an ordinary green tree frog, legs tucked, skin smooth. Two views of one small amphibian, proof that perspective can turn familiar into strange.
