Big Teeth, Little Deer

Every royal court needs an uninvited guest. A parade of antlered nobility takes the stage: a pale moose, a snow-white reindeer, red deer stags in both bronze and ghost-white coats, a dark fallow buck, and a piebald white-tailed buck, each one styled like royalty. Slipped between them again and again is a muntjac no bigger than a house cat, quietly baring a pair of fangs nobody invited to the portrait session.
