Coat of Many Colors

Every chiton wears its own coat of arms. Fourteen chitons, each armored in overlapping plates and dressed in its own wild pattern — zebra stripes, blue lattice, dalmatian spots, cream lace, mossy camouflage, and coral-pink chevrons. Displayed like specimens in a collector's cabinet, this series turns the humble marine mollusk into a study of color, symmetry, and quiet extravagance hidden in a single tidepool shell.
