Some mornings, even squirrels don't want to get up. A red squirrel is caught mid-nap in a drift of autumn leaves, flat on its back with all four paws in the air. What follows is a slow, reluctant wake-up: a jaw-cracking yawn, a dramatic stretch, a sulky face wash with both paws, and finally, eyes open, ready to face a day it clearly didn't ask for.
