Family Resemblance

Somewhere, a family tree just got very confusing. A platypus and a mallard duck meet bill to bill at the river's edge, locking eyes like each has spotted a long-lost cousin. Both wear the same broad, rubbery bill — one built for hunting in murky water, the other for dabbling at the surface — and neither seems quite sure what to make of the likeness. A quiet, funny standoff between two very different animals who accidentally match.
