Caught Golden-Handed

Somebody got caught with a hand in the cookie jar — except there's no jar, just very good manners. A Matschie's tree kangaroo pauses mid-grooming, caught with its tongue out and a paw halfway to its mouth, looking for all the world like it's been interrupted mid-snack. Framed by a blaze of golden autumn leaves and gripping a bare branch, this rainforest marsupial turns an ordinary moment of self-care into something oddly hilarious and unmistakably endearing.
