Line Work

This octopus never got the memo about blending in — it came dressed like a hand-painted zebra crossing instead. Bold black stripes race across pale, almost translucent skin, framing a pair of amber-rimmed eyes crowned with delicate, feathery papillae. Resting on black volcanic sand, the octopus is caught in a tightening sequence — full portrait, then a fixed stare, then a single eye — until the frame dissolves entirely into stripe, leaving nothing but the pattern itself.
