Rocks in Disguise

Somewhere between a pebble and a flower, these stones decided to live twice. This set follows seventeen Lithops — the "living stones" of southern Africa's deserts — caught mid-transformation. Bred by evolution to be mistaken for gravel, each fused pair of leaves splits along a single fissure, blushing rose, amethyst, moss, and gold as new growth pushes through the crack. The final panel gathers dozens together, proof the whole garden bed was never just rocks.
