Every specimen in this case looks hand-painted, until you notice it's breathing. Four stick insects are laid out like museum specimens, each dressed in a color palette no forest actually stocks — rainbow teal, molten gold, sea-glass jade, and one plain honest bark brown for comparison. Two extreme close-ups zoom in on a jewel-bright specimen, exposing spiked legs, a wine-red armored hood, and eyes built for staring back. Camouflage, played as high fashion.
