Every creature starts out this small, this curled, this quiet. Nine hatchlings share the same suspended moment — a chicken, a downy grey chick, a green iguana, a crocodile hatchling, a flamingo, a corn snake, a leopard gecko, a veiled chameleon, and a green sea turtle — each curled inside its own glowing egg, yolk vessels still threading toward small, folded bodies not yet ready for the world.
