Someone's still working out the plumbing. At a quiet waterhole, a young African elephant experiments with its trunk while its mother stands patiently by. The spray goes everywhere but where it's supposed to — soaking its own legs, hers, and finally its own face, mouth flung open in startled surprise. A tender, funny snapshot of the long, wet process of growing into ears, legs, and a trunk that hasn't quite learned to behave.
