Underfoot

Some shadows have four legs, giant ears, and a trunk that hasn't figured itself out yet. An African bush elephant calf shadows its mother and the herd across the dry savanna grass — squeezing between towering legs, peering out from behind a trunk, catching a surprise bath from an adult's spray, and finally flopping onto the grass to sit up like an exhausted toddler.
