Some pranks come back to bite you — or in this case, spray you. A raft of curious mergansers takes turns nipping at a strange grey shape rising out of the water, never suspecting it belongs to an elephant holding its breath below the surface. The elephant finally surfaces and answers with a well-aimed blast from its trunk, sending the flock scattering in a burst of feathers and spray. What started as a harmless investigation ends as a thoroughly deserved soaking.
